[IT] OcchiRossi è un festival indipendente e autogestito di fotografia.

Il progetto nasce dalla volontà di proporre alla città una manifestazione che riesca ad intrecciare libertà e facilità di partecipazione con la possibilità di produrre ed esporre una mostra. OcchiRossi partirà il 3 luglio con una tre giorni collettiva di esposizioni, workshop, eventi presso il C.S.O.A. Forte Prenestino. Tutte le mostre verranno poi esposte nei luoghi che fanno parte della quotidianità della città per renderle fruibili a tutte e tutti in modo orizzontale. L’obiettivo è quello di invadere la città di “Fotografia”, e quindi far godere delle immagini un pubblico casuale e non solamente un’élite di consapevoli fruitori di mostre ed eventi fotografici.

Ciononostante il contributo richiesto ai partecipanti per poter accedere al festival rimane, anche quest’anno, rigorosamente politico, accessibile a tutti, senza che questo interferisca con gli standard di qualità che intendiamo poter continuare a garantire. Ciò è senz’altro reso possibile dall’impegno di tutti coloro che  da sempre partecipano  all’esistenza e vitalità di una realtà autogestita come il  Forte che, al pari delle altre, diventa tanto più preziosa in un momento storico di oscurantismo politico-culturale, endemica sottoccupazione, arretratezza delle strutture sociali.

Even outside wartime, government arms purchases can exceed legitimate security needs, diverting substantial amounts of money away from health and education. In ‘peace time’, the presence and availability of arms often intensifies violence engendered by political protest, disputes between neighbours, crime and violence in the home…
